PINAR YESILADA

Born in Istanbul in 1973, she studied at Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Fine Arts between 1992 and 1996. Initially using mud as material, the artist then focused on bronze and polyester material. Working on the traces of social subconscious, memory and traumas on societies in general, Yeşilada discovered that our physical nature follows a genetic knowledge as well as our spiritual nature follows some pathways. It is the subconscious factor that allows the factors found in genetic roots to determine mass psychology and to make the energy that is absorbed in different individuals and similar expressions in separate places and times. According to Jung, manhood bears traces of animal history based on these theories the artist started to trace her own family history. She has held various solo and mixed exhibitions in Turkey and Europe since 1996.
