Sevil Dolmacı is excited about opening a new gallery space in Dubai. The gallery will have a central location in Dubai’s Design District, which is the heart of fashion, art, and design. Since its establishment in 2020, Sevil Dolmacı has been involved in significant exhibitions and projects, and now it is preparing to make a substantial impact on the Turkish art market and contribute to the developing art scene in Dubai.
With the shift of the global art market towards the East, Dubai lately became a significant art hub. Capitalizing on this trend, in Dubai, Sevil Dolmacı will showcase prominent Turkish and international artists having made a significant impact on the Turkish art market.
The new space in Dubai will allow for the display of large-scale artworks, with a ceiling height of 7 meters and a spacious gallery area of 300 square meters. The gallery will host a total of five exhibitions during the art season from October to April, including four solo exhibitions and one group exhibition. The exhibition program will run parallel to the gallery’s program in Istanbul, collaborating with international curators and artists who will contribute these exhibitions.
Furthermore, the gallery aims to enrich the Turkish art scene and promote cultural exchange by bringing together new international talents. The official opening is planned for October 2023, promising a significant contribution to Dubai’s vibrant art scene.
