Sevil Dolmacı, who has an academic background, completed her master’s and doctorate studies on art history and attended courses on contemporary art at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. She worked in various institutions in London, such as the Saatchi Gallery and the Tate Modern Museum.

Dolmacı, who was a lecturer at Başkent University Fine Arts Faculty between 2004-2008, moved to Istanbul in 2008 and continued to work as an art consultant, first in the Kabakçı Collection and then in the DEMSA Collection. During this time, she also taught art history and contemporary art at Kültür University and Yeditepe University in Istanbul and published articles focusing on contemporary art trends, speaking at national and international conferences and symposiums.

Sevil Dolmacı, who has long been providing consultancy services to Turkey’s important art collections, undertook important projects such as the DEMSA Group Art Consultancy and Museum Project, St. Regis Hotel Project, Demirören Group Art Consultancy, Kemer Country Golf Club Sculpture Park Project and Kabakçı Collection Art Consultancy. Sevil Dolmacı also continues to provide consultancy services to private collections, galleries and artists.


Sevil Dolmacı Art Consultancy

With the increasing interest in art in recent years, the need for art professionals has also increased in parallel. Based on this need, Sevil Dolmacı Art Consultancy was established in 2015 as a solution partner to all problems related to contemporary art. Today, it continues to serve as Turkey’s first art consultancy company with a team of thirty experts.

In addition to the Art Consultancy company, Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery was established in 2020 with the addition of “Villa İpranosyan” as the gallery building. The Art Residency program, which provides a supportive infrastructure in creating the artist profile, was organized for the accommodation and production of artists in the historical Greek building called “White House”.

Established as Sevil Dolmacı Consulting Company in 2015, the structure continues its activities as an art institution growing with its gallery and residency programs and provides services at an international level.
