The Art Dealers Association of America is organizing the Art Show, one of the most prestigious art events of the year in New York during the month of November.
American artist Ross Bleckner, whose first exhibition in Turkey was opened in Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery last September, will be represented by his main gallery Petzel.
Ross Bleckner (1949) saw a breakthrough in his career in the 1980s with his works affected by the AIDS crisis. His works are the products of his long-term research on universal concepts such as loss/death, memory, change/transformation. The pinnacle of Bleckner’s ascension occurred when, in his early 40s, he made history by becoming the youngest artist to have a retrospective at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, expanding the scope of his career. His works are placed in the world’s leading public collections, such as the MoMA, Whitney and Guggenheim museums, as well as the San Francisco Modern Art Museum, Martin Gropius Bau-Berlin, Reina Sofia-Madrid, Albertina Museum-Vienna, Kunstmuseum Luzern and Zentrum Paul Klee-Berlin.
Bleckner’s works can be seen at Booth A6 in the Park Avenue Armory, New York City during the month of November.
