ART FAIR

Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery brings together works of important Turkish and international artists in the 17th edition of Contemporary Istanbul, held between September 19-22. In booth number T8-03, in addition to names such as Cody Choi, Bosco Sodi, Robert Janitz, whose works are featured in the world’s major museums and galleries, it will also be possible to see the works of Turkish contemporary artists such as Haluk Akakçe, Ergin Çavuşoğlu, Nejat Satı, Ali İbrahim Öcal, Evren Sungur, Bahadır Çolak, Ozan Oganer and Şahin Demir.

In the 17th edition of Contemporary Istanbul, the works of two artists from Sevil Dolmacı Gallery will be exhibited in the public spaces of the fair. The first of these is the statue of Bosco Sodi made of clay and covered with gold. The other will be Ergin Çavuşoğlu’s installation titled “The Journey Down the Current of All Those Who Were Adrift”, which will meet with the audience for the first time.

Ghanaian Felix Kwesi Awotwi’s works, produced with thread, will meet with the Istanbul audience for the first time. The large-scale canvas work from Ekrem Yalçındağ’s highly anticipated new series will be presented to art lovers for the first time at the fair. Our current resident American artist Eric Shaw is participating with his fresh new paintings made in İstanbul. Sculptures of Reuven Israel who’s had his first solo show in our gallery in May 2022 will be presented to artlovers in the booth T8-03.

The works of the famous American artist Ross Bleckner will be exhibited for the first time at the fair in parallel with his solo exhibition “Angels in Your Head” held at the gallery’s Beşiktaş space.
