Vik Muniz (b.1961)

Artist, born in Brazil in 1961, Originally a sculptor, Muniz was interested in photographic representations of his work and eventually focused entirely on photography. Working primarily with unusual materials such as tomato sauce, diamonds, magazine clippings, chocolate syrup, dust, and dirt, Muniz then takes photographs of her works. His work has been exhibited worldwide.
