ERHAN LANPIR

Erhan LANPİR was born in Bilecik in 1979. He studied at Eskişehir Anadolu Fine Arts High School and later at Eskişehir Anadolu University Education Faculty Painting Department. He received his master’s degree from Eskişehir Anadolu University Fine Arts Institute Painting Department.

In addition to his domestic exhibitions, he also held personal exhibitions abroad (USA Virginia Danville Art History Museum, Poland Torun Muzeum Okregowe w Toruniu). He has been involved in art projects in Poland, Tunisia, Portugal, Spain, France, the USA and many other countries.

Erhan Lanpir wanders around the borders of surrealism with his anatomical interpretations on his figures and the geometric spaces he brings together. Sorcerers, angels, witches and pagan images adorn the paintings, in which the concept of “game” stands out. In the artist’s painting, appropriation works in which the masters of art history are interpreted are frequently encountered.

Lanpir lives and works in Eskişehir, Turkey.
