JOHN CHAMBERLAIN

John Chamberlain (b.1927-d.2011)

Born in 1927, sculptor Chamberlain studied at the Art Institute of Chicago between 1951-1952. He started his art life with carving and modeling. In 1952, he started working with metal, and later turned to using old scrap metal parts and old automobile parts, the artist continued to focus on this subject and acquired an abstract expressionist style. He passed away in New York in 2011.
